The Best Cinematography Award goes to...

Congratulations to Henry & Sunny cinematographer Orla Russell-Conway who won the Best Cinematography Award at the first ever Underground Cinema Awards on Saturday.

Orla not only shot the film but produced it as well and the award is very much deserved. We're delighted!

Congratulations also to Dave Byrne for organising a great night's entertainment. Dave screened over a hundred films at last year's Underground Cinema and has vowed to keep screening them as long as we keep making them!

Dave has been a great supporter of Henry & Sunny since the film screened at Underground Cinema last April and we thank him for everything he's done for Irish short films over the past year.

Underground Cinema are currently seeking submissions for next year's screenings. Please check out wwww.underground-cinema.com for more information.

THE NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION

On Friday September 17, arts workers in every constituency around the country will meet their local TDs, including An Taoiseach Brian Cowen with his local Offaly-based artists and arts workers, to put the campaign demands before their public representatives, as well as raising additional local arts issues. There are a number of elements to the day, some of which are listed here below.
